After spending my 20's as a dog trainer while attending university for Animal Science, as well as my experience as a cat and dog owner, I am uniquely qualified for this challenge. Each piece is thoughtfully designed, with features that only a dog owner would think of! With exquisite craftmanship to ensure durability and safety, these pieces are created with a focus on effortless use, versatility, and unparalleled comfort. Mongrel + Mode specializes in canine essentials that are influenced by modern fashion, trends, and classic styles.
But I had to create a collection that pays more direct homage to some of fashion’s most admired visionaries — including Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons, Vivienne Westwood, and Off-White.
Every piece captures the unique aesthetic of each house, often incorporating iconic details, making them recognizable to those who are admirers of these pinnacles of style.
I approach canine accessories with the same aspirational, experimental design and dedication to impeccable quality as a luxury handbag…but I then go a few steps further.
I believe that luxury should not come at any human cost or cause unnecessary harm to the environment.
From the skilled artisans in the heart of Tuscany, who tan all of the leather sourced by Mongrel + Mode using natural methods, to the premium hardware we source from trusted, US based partners, I work hard to ensure that everyone who contributes to the creation of Mongrel + Mode pieces are fairly compensated.
The environment is considered and prioritized at every step, from exclusively sourcing natural, vegetable tanned leather (created using only by-product hides), to my made-to-order production and recyclable packaging.
